  • What it does

    This lip scrub effectively removes dead skin cells with a blend of top-quality and fairly traded organic black sugar and muscovado sugar packed with amino acids and minerals. A nutrient-rich sugar blend is suspended in nourishing oils, such as jojoba, carrot seed, coconut, and olive to help with gentle exfoliation while adding hydration. Chemical exfoliants, such as capryloyl salicylic acid (BHA), and gluconolactone (PHA), helps further exfoliation. A sulfate-free foaming agent derived from a fatty acid from coconut is moisturizing, and safe for sensitive skin. It activates an oil-based scrub, turning into a foaming wash to complete the exfoliating process with a clean yet hydrating finish.

  • How to use

    Massage a small amount onto wet lips with very gentle pressure. Rinse or wipe off with a damp cloth. Follow with a hydrating lip balm like Organic Seeds Lip Moisture or Organic Fruits Lip Moisture. For best results, use it in the morning after an overnight sleeping mask to fully soften the dead skin cells before exfoliating.

    Lips are naturally dry because they don’t have oil glands. Thus, it can be challenging for the lips to retain moisture, and it is important to hydrate the lips properly. For soft, plump, and moisturized lips, regular exfoliation comes before applying lip balms because dead skin cells can prevent the lip balms from reaching the skin underneath the build-up of flaky areas, which causes further dryness. Exfoliation helps reveal the healthier skin underneath that needs proper moisturization to prevent further dryness.

Works really well but the taste is not great

I’ve used the lip scrub a lot and I do like the results I’ve gotten but it doesn’t have a pleasant flavor or anything. Obviously you’re not meant to eat this scrub but the nature of it means you’re likely to get some in your mouth and it doesn’t taste good at all. Im happy to carry on using it especially since I know this product is organic and great for my skin but if taste will be a factor for you it’s good to know.

I think this lip scrub is great. I’d never used one before and after a few applications over several days my lips became smooth and healthy looking.

Not sticky

I like that this scrub is not sticky and that it washed away easily with water. It foams up with water making it easy and leaving no sticky residue behind. The grains of the scrub don’t last too long though and I didn’t see a difference in lip appearance overtime, which I would have liked. Overall a good lip scrub to have in your skin care routine.

The best lip scrub i have ever used. Most are heavy oils with large grains that just fall off your lips before you can get any results, and are hard to remove. This one applies evenly with fine grains that stay on the lips for scrubbing, then add a little water to make it foam, rinse off and boom! Soft, flake-free lips that are ready for a nice layer of balm. Has a bit of an odd taste but i didn't buy it to eat it. A very generous amount of product and comes with a little paddle for scooping. Loving this company and the products!

Really Nice!

Used this along with a hydrating eye cream (yes, I put a little of my eye cream on my lips!) and then sealed it in with a nourishing lip balm and my lips haven’t dried out or cracked since!
